"Oprah" was purchased as a yearling with the expectation that she would grow up and become my next western pleasure show horse. She never grew quite tall enough for that and her sweet nature and athleticism seemed to make her an ideal candidate for a career as a pony hunter. Starting in her four year old season, she competed in Class A competition on the open hunter/jumper circuit with great success. She carried one junior exhibitor to win in the Medal class and won numerous nice ribbons, some of them blue, in the large pony over fences classes. Her very Morgan way of going was a handicap in the flat classes, but she took all of the excitement of competition with her usual calm attitude. Oprah clips, bathes, loads, hauls with perfect manners; she is suitable for a child or small adult as a hunter pleasure or dressage horse. She is truly a finished mare with great quality, a delightful disposition and the conformation and breeding to be a great broodmare. Olympus Opening Night
